3.2 Design team process and products: student cases

In this section you will get some insight into the examples the five design teams came up with and how they were developed.

3.2.4 First student case: Dantes Disciples

Case Study

The design team Dantes Disciples
presents their game Into the Eternal Darkness which is a game concept aiming to transform literature into interactive experiences. The game design makes use of Henry Jenkins’ concept of evocative narratives in games to transform Dante’s Inferno into an embodied literature experience and make literature come alive in the public library (the thinker role). The game also makes creative use of the input controller, literally putting the gameplayer on the edge (the maker role) to interact with the gameworld of Dante’s levels of hell on its different levels (the coder role).
